Antique Katana sword in Ornate Mounting

Swordsmith school: SHIGETAKA
A quality Katana sword from SAMURAI STORE Yokohama sword store. Antique Katana long blade made by the swordsmith Fujiwara Shigetaka in Kan-ei period (Edo era), 1620's. Inscription of the sword smith name, given titel, and location are engraved on the tang. Beautiful Gunome or zig-zag/wavy tempered-line pattern on blade. Registered as Hozon paper "Well-Preserved Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society). The blade comes in a complete antique ornate mounting with stunning metal fittings from late Edo era. It should be noted the Menuki hilt ornamnet designed to Shishi lion is made of genuine gold. Shirasaya wooden holder also comes with.
