Swordsmith: Attribute to Sue-ENJU
A quality Katana sword from SAMURAI STORE Tokyo. Antique Katana long blade made by the swordsmith Sue-ENJU in Muromachi/Nambokucho era 1300s. Stunningly beautiful irregular zig-zag Gunome hamon tempered line pattern on blade. This blade was certified to TOKUBETSU Hozon paper "Extremely Well-Preserved Sword" by NBTHK (Japan Sword Preservation Society), the higher ranked certificate than standard. No inscription on the blade but the NBTHK is officially ascribing the blade to Sue-ENJU's work. The authority card by gov. says this blade is categorized as Tachi, but NBTHK certificate states this blade as Katana. Comes in complete set of antique ornate mounting including beautiful openwork Tsuba hand guard, hilt ornaments designed with samurai warriors, and all decorative metal parts. The whole mounting has an extra NBTHK Tokubetsu kicho certificate.
The blade comes with Certificate of NBTHK Japan Sword Preservation Society - Tokubetsu Hozon Paper (Extremely Well preserved sword)
